Weekend Happenings: Taste of Syracuse

In case you live under a rock, the Taste of Syracuse kicks off this Friday at Clinton Square. The event runs Friday, June 3rd and Saturday, June 4th from 11 AM to 11 PM each night. Essentially, it's a big party with $1 samples from tons of local restaurants and some places have an additional menu with more offerings for a few more bucks.

Along with countless foods and cuisines to pick from, new restaurants for this year's event include Limp Lizard, Sakana-ya, Alto Cinco, Twin Trees and Yum Yum Bakery. This is by far my favorite event held at Clinton Square and it's a nice little precurser to the State Fair. Gregg Alman will be on the main stage on Saturday night and The Travel Channel and The Big Bite Tour will also be there, so the whole thing should be plenty of fun and great for the city.

I'll try to get some pictures up this year and do more sampling than I have in the past.
