Doc's, Popcorn, and Chiefs

Per syracuse.com, Doc's Little Gem Diner is up for sale.

I suppose it was bound to happen at some point. Hopefully it gets bought soon by the proper person.

A little overdue on this story, but The Karmelkorn Shoppe on W Jefferson Street closed recently and has moved out the Great Northern Mall.

Although it's a must-do prior to going to the movies at Carousel, I never went into the location on Jefferson (though did frequent the previous business, The Peanut Shoppe, back in the day quite often). It's a shame there isn't a movie theater downtown because Karmelkorn would have been more successful with one nearby.

The Syracuse Chiefs will host a St. Patrick's Day party at the Hank Sauer Room at Alliance Bank Stadium on Tuesday, March 16th. The party will be this year's first installment of th Dinner at the Diamond series. The event starts at 5 PM and the menu features an assortment of Irish-themed appetizers, corned beef and cabbage, Irish stew, and Chicken O'Flaherty among other items. Tickets for $15 for adults and $10 for children. More information can be found at the official website.
